I fell in love with this material as soon as I started having kids. It seemed to create a kind of respectable dumping ground for unrespectable substances; sicky milk or mushy vomit, smudged chocolate or spat out peas. It was also a soft, washable place to lie babies bottoms for changing and to stroke sweaty, teary tired faces for sleeping.
Once, I was given a set of oversized ones by Aden and Anais which is when I started to use for them as blankets, until I slowly discovered the material myself and started to make pillow cases, duvet covers, bed throws and now beach towels for my own family. Each year the kids get to choose their favourite colour and carry their own thro in they travel bag. The journey of usage begins on the plane when the air is a little chilled and they tend to drop to sleep and needed to snuggle, or to shoev into a pillow, the then gobbled up sandwiches, snacks and spilt water is swiftly mopped up by these absorbent beauties and as soon as we hit the sunshine the troubles of real life are wiped away by them as we and they dip in the sea and become salty, soft beds. Suffice it to say, I can’t get enough of them, and have now started making what I feel is the perfect sized one for my friends and family, and for you! They are available on my Etsy, or click the SHOP button on this site.
They come in practically all colours. I don’t think I will ever tire of this fine fabric. Click on SHOP to own your own.
